Who we are.
Luminarias is a faith based non-profit organization dedicated to helping adolescent Guatemalan girls break the cycle of poverty through housing, education, youth development and community outreach. We empower girls to re-imagine their futures and become the women they aspire to be.
Luminarias is a House of Formation.
We established a community home in late 2013 to serve our first 15 girls, all experiencing severe poverty. From our residential home in San Lucas Sacatepéquez, we invite girls ages 12 to 18 to grow and flourish in a safe, communal environment.
